Tasting note:
Comprised of over eighty-five percent Bennett Valley fruit, this Merlot welcomes with a bright cranberry colour, so dense that it might be mistaken for a cranberry concentrate. The nose begins with black fruit, cherry and a slight hint of espresso roast. True to the nose, the palate bursts with blackberry fruit, a touch of blueberry fruit and as Winemaker François Cordesse describes, "a melted toffee" character.
